Hi and thanks for being here! My name is Jessica and I’m the Owner of Black Orchid Bakery. I was born here in Maryland and am currently raising my three wild children with my husband here in Bel Air. I won’t sit here and bore you with a long winded story about how I got to this point and why I love making beautiful, fun, and delicious treats for you, so I’ll just leave you with 5 fun facts about me.
I first started baking at 8 years old in my room with my Easy Bake oven.
Classic horror movies are my jam! Freddy, Jason, and Michael are the absolute best and I may even have a life size cutout of Freddy Krueger in my basement because he is my favorite of all time.
I believe rainbow sprinkles are essential to not just baking, but life in general. They can make any day instantly happier.
Cats are my spirit animals.
I have my Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Baltimore International College and got to spend 5 weeks in Ireland working in a hotel restaurant. It was absolutely incredible.
